Wolf Family Rendezvouz
Bring the whole family together for a fun-filled, wolf-themed weekend! Enjoy private lessons on wolf ecology and guided hikes through the beautiful Superior National Forest. Participate in wolf-themed activities and observe our ambassador wolves in action. Then, attend our What’s for Dinner? program to observe our wolves feeding before you spend the night in the auditorium.
Activities and learning will take place both indoors and outdoors. Please be prepared with appropriate clothing for both.
Saturday
9:00 a.m. Arrival and introductions
9:15 a.m. Ambassadors to the Wild program
10:00 a.m. Learn about wildlife tracks and make your own plaster track cast
12:00 p.m. Time for lunch on your own
2:00 p.m. Take a hike in the Ely area!
3:30 p.m. Explore the Center with a scavenger hunt and a game of Wolf Jeopardy
5:00 p.m. Pizza dinner and wolf watching time
7:00 p.m. “What’s for Dinner?” program
8:30 p.m. Bring in your personal items and settle in for the night

7:30 a.m. Wake up and pack up items
8:00 a.m. Continental breakfast
9:00 a.m. Depart at your leisure
Lodging, transportation and meals
Lodging during the program is provided by the International Wolf Center. Participants will stay overnight in the Wolf Center Auditorium and must provide their own sleeping bags and gear.
Pizza dinner is provided on Saturday and continental breakfast is provided on Sunday. Participants must provide their own transportation to and from Ely, MN. Participants are welcome to drive their own vehicles to field trips or ride in the Center’s van with staff. Groups with children requiring car seats must drive their own vehicles.
