According to this article, “Grey wolves were found in the north and north-western regions of Bangladesh. They became extinct during the 1940s. Grey wolves were last sighted in Noakhali.”

In this assessment for the IUCN by Dr. L. David Mech and Dr. Luigi Boitani from 2010, the gray wolf is listed as “possibly extinct.”

However, according to this story from August 2019, a wolf was found and killed by villagers near Taltoli in the Bangladeshi Sundarbans.
