Something on British Columbia’s central coast was wrecking crab traps. Beginning in 2023, traps set in a Haíɫzaqv (Heiltsuk) Nation program to control invasive European green crabs kept turning up damaged with the bait gone, including traps in water deep enough that they were never exposed, even at low tide.
