[Missouri] Endangered Wolf Center Celebrates a Decade of Wolf Pup Fostering
From AZA.org:
This year, the Endangered Wolf Center (EWC) in St. Louis, Mo., celebrates a decade of helping give Mexican wolf pups born in human care a chance to grow up in the wild.
Since becoming the first facility to foster Mexican wolf pups into wild dens in 2016, the EWC has successfully placed 56 EWC-born pups with wild wolf families in New Mexico and Arizona—strengthening the genetic diversity and long-term recovery of one of North America’s most endangered mammals.
