Zoo forced to close after pack of wolves escapes in France

A pack of nine wolves had to be hunted down after they escaped from their zoo in southern France.

The animals destroyed their safety hatches and climbed out of their enclosure at Trois Vallées zoo in Montredon-Labessonnie, last weekend.

But they did not make it out of the zoo, so no-one outside was in ‘immediate danger’ of being attacked.
