Wolf pups near Jackson die from skin disease

JACKSON (WNE) — Laboratory results are in on the litter of wolf pups found dead and dying south of Jackson in late August, and the testing found that a skin disease was the primary cause of death.
“The final diagnosis is severe scabies, with associated cutaneous yeast infection and severe emaciation,” Wyoming Game and Fish Department wolf biologist Ken Mills said.
