Leading researcher, Rolf Peterson, speaks to county conservation district in Michigan

MARQUETTE — The addition this winter of large wolves from Ontario is expected to lead to a new wolf-moose dynamic on Isle Royale National Park, said one of the top researchers on this issue.

Rolf Peterson, a research biologist at Michigan Technological University who authored the 1995 book “The Wolves of Isle Royale,” was the guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Marquette County Conservation District, which took place Wednesday at the University Center at Northern Michigan University.
