‘Gigantic’ wolf shot dead in southern Russian village

A wolf described by villagers in southern Russia as “gigantic” has been shot dead after terrorising the local community.

Residents of the Blagoveshchensky district in Bashkortostan said they had been on alert after a pack of wolves tore three dogs to pieces.
