AZGFD marks 20 years since Mexican wolf release

BLUE — On March 29, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service gave recognition to two decades of conservation efforts for the Mexican gray wolf in the wild.

Twenty years ago, the wolf was extinct in the wild within the United States, and the service noted that there were just 184 in captivity within the United States and Mexico.
